- 1 loaf French bread
- 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 cup pizza or marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F.
- Cook the beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Prepare the bread: Slice the French bread lengthwise and place the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- Add toppings: Spread pizza sauce over the bread. Top evenly with the cooked beef, then cover generously with mozzarella.
- Bake: Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are crisp.
- Brown the cheese: For an extra golden top, switch to broil/grill for 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
