How to Grow a Lemon Tree in a Cup

1. Gather Seeds
– Collect seeds from 5 to 10 lemons, ensuring they are whole and undamaged.

2. Soak the Seeds
– Place them in a glass of clean water for a few hours to hydrate.
– Discard any seeds that float—only the ones that sink are viable for planting.

3. Prepare the Soil
– Use a small cup and fill it with moist black soil (avoid excessive water).

4. Plant the Seeds
– Arrange the seeds in a circular pattern across the surface of the soil.
– Cover with a thin layer of soil.

5. Water and Wait
– Keep the soil slightly damp by misting it with a spray bottle every morning and, if possible, at night.
– In 9 to 15 days, tiny sprouts will begin to emerge.

6. Transplant When Ready
– Once the seedlings become crowded, carefully transfer them into individual pots.
– Lemon trees grow slowly but can reach up to 1.5 meters in about 6 to 7 months—perfect for an indoor plant!
