Baked Beans & Ground Beef Casserole

Ingredients:

– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 large onion, chopped
– 4 (12-ounce) cans baked beans
– 3/4 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup ketchup
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon mustard
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef and onions with the baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

5. Bake the casserole uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.

Notes:

For a smokier flavor, you can add a few strips of cooked and crumbled bacon to the mixture before baking.
