Ingredients:
• 1 can of buttermilk biscuits
• 1 can of apple pie filling
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Biscuits:
Open the can of buttermilk biscuits and separate them. Place the biscuits on a greased baking sheet or a parchment-lined sheet.
3. Prepare the Apple Pie Filling:
Open the can of apple pie filling. You can cut the apple slices into smaller pieces if desired, or leave them as they are. Set aside.
4. Make the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
5. Coat the Biscuits:
Brush the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the top of each biscuit. Make sure they are coated well.
6. Add Apple Pie Filling:
Spoon a small amount of the apple pie filling on top of each biscuit. You can add as much or as little as you prefer, but aim for a good portion on each one.
7. Bake the Biscuits:
Place the prepared biscuits in the preheated oven and bake according to the biscuit package instructions (typically 10-12 minutes), or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
8. Optional Glaze:
For an extra touch, you can drizzle more of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top once they come out of the oven, or make a simple glaze using powdered sugar and a bit of milk to drizzle over them.
9. Serve & Enjoy:
Let the apple pie biscuits cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm!
These biscuits are a great dessert or a sweet breakfast treat!
