Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie

Try this irresistible Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie, the perfect balance of rich chocolate and crunchy pecans. You won’t be able to resist a slice (or two)! 🤤🍴

Ingredients:

1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for added richness)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the crust: If using a homemade pie crust, roll it out and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. For a pre-made crust, just place it in your pan.
Toast pecans: Place the chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 5-7 minutes until slightly browned and fragrant.
Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, both sugars, eggs, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until everything is well combined and smooth.
Add chocolate: Fold in the chocolate chips and toasted pecans into the mixture.
Fill the crust: Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake: Bake the pie for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed in the center. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
Cool: Let the pie cool completely before slicing. This allows the filling to firm up and makes for easier cutting.
Optional: Drizzle with heavy cream before serving for an extra creamy touch
