Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausages, sliced
1/2 head cabbage, chopped
3 medium potatoes, cubed
2 carrots, sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 cups chicken broth
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
Cook the Sausage: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the smoked sausages over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until browned. Remove the sausages and set them aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same pot, add the chopped onion and sliced carrots. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent.
Add the Broth: Pour in the chicken broth, and add the cubed potatoes, chopped cabbage, garlic powder, and cooked sausages. Stir everything together.
Simmer: Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes and cabbage are tender.
Season to Taste: Taste the stew and adjust the seasoning if necessary with salt and pepper.
Serve: Once the vegetables are tender and the stew is flavorful, serve hot with some crusty bread if you’d like.
