Texas Trash Dip

Ingredients:

• 1 (8 oz) package cream  cheese, softened

• 1 cup sour cream

• 1 (16 oz) can refried beans

• 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning

• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

• 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

• 1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies (optional)

• 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

• Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Mix the Base:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, and taco seasoning.

2. Mix until smooth and well combined.

3. Add Cheese and Flavor:

1. Stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese and 1 cup of Monterey Jack cheese.

2. Mix in the diced green chilies if using, for a spicy kick.

4. Assemble the Dip:

1. Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish or any oven-safe dish.

2. Top with the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.

• Sprinkle with chopped green onions for a fresh touch.
