Creamy Pineapple Mousse Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz / 350ml) evaporated milk (chilled)
  • 1 can (20 oz / 560g) crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1 packet (0.25 oz / 7g) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) water
  • Optional: Whipped cream for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the Gelatin:
    • In a small bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in 1/4 cup of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
    • Heat gently in the microwave or on the stove until fully dissolved. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Blend the Ingredients:
    • In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and drained crushed pineapple. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add the Gelatin:
    • While blending, slowly pour in the dissolved gelatin. Blend for another 1–2 minutes until everything is fully incorporated.
  4. Chill the Mousse:
    • Pour the mixture into a large serving bowl or individual dessert cups.
    • Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours, or until the mousse is set and firm.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of crushed pineapple before serving, if desired.
