A cozy, creamy one-dish dinner with just 5 main ingredients and minimal prep.
Ingredients
- 450 g (1 lb) lean ground beef
- 225 g (8 oz) egg noodles or short pasta
- 1 can (about 300 g / 10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 240 ml (1 cup) beef broth
- 120 g (½ cup) sour cream
Optional: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, parsley, or grated Parmesan.
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Brown the beef: Cook the ground beef in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Combine: Stir in the uncooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth. Mix well.
- Bake: Cover tightly with foil or a lid and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the pasta is tender. Stir once halfway through if possible.
- Finish: Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Stir in the sour cream until smooth and creamy.
- Serve: Season to taste and serve immediately.
Tip: If the pasta is still firm after 30 minutes, add a splash of beef broth, cover again, and bake for another 5–10 minutes.
