Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 cup long-grain white rice
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 ½ cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions:
Make the Rice: Cook rice in 2 cups of boiling water. Cover and simmer on low for 18–20 minutes, until tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
Brown the Beef: While the rice cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef and break it up as it cooks. Once browned, drain excess fat if needed.
Add Seasoning: Stir in garlic, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Simmer the Sauce: Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine, then let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Stir in Cheese: Add cheddar, Parmesan, and butter. Mix until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and cracked pepper to taste.
Combine with Rice: Fold in the cooked rice and stir until well coated with the cheesy garlic sauce.
Serve: Top with chopped parsley and serve warm
