Monster Cookie Bars

These Monster Cookie Bars are a delightful twist on the classic monster cookie recipe. Packed with peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, and colorful M&M candies, these bars are soft, chewy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. They’re perfect for a quick and easy treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth cravings!

Ingredients:

– ½ cup butter, softened
– 1 cup brown sugar
– ½ cup peanut butter
– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 ¾ cups quick-cooking oats
– ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 cup M&M candies

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the large bowl and stir until fully combined.
4. Add the quick-cooking oats, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and M&M candies to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
5. Press the cookie dough mixture into the prepared baking pan, ensuring it’s spread evenly.
6. If desired, add additional M&M candies on top of the dough and gently press them in.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 14 to 16 minutes, or until the edges are slightly browned and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Be careful not to overbake.
8. Remove from the oven and let the cookie bars cool slightly in the pan before slicing. For best results, allow them to cool completely before slicing, although it can be difficult to resist digging in right away!
