Ingredients:
- 2 packages of Maria cookies
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 1 package (190g or ~7 oz) of Philadelphia-style cream cheese
- 4 ripe mangoes (peeled and pitted)
Instructions:
- Make the Mango Cream:
- In a blender, combine the mangoes, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream cheese.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Assemble the Carlota:
- In a rectangular or square dish, spread a thin layer of the mango cream on the bottom.
- Add a layer of Maria cookies, covering the cream.
- Add another layer of mango cream over the cookies.
- Repeat the layering process until you run out of ingredients, ending with a layer of mango cream on top.
- Chill:
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the cookies to soften and the flavors to blend.
- Serve:
- Optional: Garnish with mango slices or cookie crumbs before serving.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
