Ingredients:

1 small clove garlic, crushed

1/2 tsp turmeric powder or 1/2 inch fresh turmeric

1/4 small onion, sliced or a few pieces (red onion is best)

1 inch fresh ginger, sliced or grated

1 stick cinnamon (or 1/2 tsp ground)

4–5 guava leaves (fresh or dried)

2 cups water

Optional: honey or lemon for taste
Instructions:

In a saucepan, add the water and all ingredients.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 10–15 minutes.

Strain and sip warm.
