This easy, flavorful crockpot chicken is coated in Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, making it tender, juicy, and packed with smoky-sweet goodness. Perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or serving over rice!
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 6 boneless thighs)
1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crockpot
Lightly grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or a little oil.
2. Add the Chicken & Sauce
Place the chicken in the crockpot. In a small bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Pour over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
3. Cook Low & Slow
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours (or HIGH for 2–3 hours), until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
4. Shred & Serve
Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce. Serve on buns, over rice, or with mashed potatoes.
Optional Additions:
Add a dash of hot sauce for some heat.
Stir in a little ranch dressing for a creamy twist.
