Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, diced
3 cups cooked white or brown rice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, for extra umami)
1 tsp sesame oil (optional, for flavor)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the Ground Beef

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease if needed.

2. Sauté the Vegetables

Push the beef to one side of the skillet and add the olive oil. Sauté the diced onion and bell peppers for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

3. Season the Dish

Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine everything and let it cook for another 2–3 minutes.

4. Assemble the Bowls

Divide the cooked rice into bowls and spoon the beef and pepper mixture on top.

5. Garnish & Serve

Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!

Optional Additions:

Add scrambled eggs for extra protein.
Top with a fried egg for a richer meal.
Drizzle with sriracha or sweet chili sauce for extra flavor.
