Creamy Italian chicken pasta

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken breast, diced

8 oz pasta (like fettuccine or penne)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh spinach (optional)

Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning, letting it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet. If using, stir in fresh spinach until wilted. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy.

Serve: Divide the creamy chicken pasta among plates and garnish with fresh basil.
